Getting a better idea now

I've been doing a lot of reading the over last week or so about old Fords, Falcons, classic inline 6 motors and how to not break the bank and still have a solid weekend driver. I've decided to keeping the inline 6 that's in the car now, and just make some modifications to it. For the time being the engine will remain stock until the car can move to my place, where I'll be able to pull out the motor and do the rebuild.  With the motor out of the car, I'll be able to add the the modifications to the motor while I'm rebuilding it--kind of a kill 2 birds with one stone thing.

Not what I was expecting...

First off I would like to throw out a huge THANK YOU to Evan and Nick. With out these two guys, it would have been a really bad day...

Today marked the start of the build. It started with Evan and I picking up a few things from Pep Boys and Lowes. We make it to the car and im almost speechless. There was no way in Hell that the Falcon was going to be moving on its own today. The battery was beyond dead, all four tires are shot and all the fluids are gone.

Old pictures of the Falcon

Let the build begin...sort of...

As most of you know, I own a 1962 Ford Falcon Futura. Ive had the car for a little over 7 years and for about the last 5 its just sat in a parking lot collecting dust. This Saturday will mark the beginning of the build to bring my Falcon back to life and better than ever! I will be doing the majority of the work my self and with he help of others. Please let me know if you like to help. Evan will be by my side for the majority of the build in hopes of teaching him more about cars and how to fix them and just to have have a solid side kick in the adventure. Ill try my best to update along the way with pics and video.

This weekend will be the time to move the car out of its old parking spot in a private parking lot to the driveway were all the work will be done to make it drivable, street legal and to take notes on what needs to be done to the all in all.
